A positive Australian skills assessment is the prerequisite for the 189, 190, 491, 482 and 186 visas. Search by occupation, ANZSCO code, or authority. Live fees and processing times across 10 authorities, refreshed daily.
Every skilled visa applicant goes through one of 38 designated authorities. Search above by your occupation, ANZSCO code, or the authority you already know assesses your field.
Each authority page shows current fees, the headline processing time, English requirements, and the document checklist. We refresh fees and processing times daily from each authority's own site.
Each authority runs its own online application portal. You upload your documents, pay the fee in AUD, and receive an outcome letter once the assessor returns a decision. Most outcomes are valid for two or three years for migration purposes, so time your assessment so it stays current through your visa lodgement.
The information on this page describes what each Australian skills-assessing authority publishes about its fees, processing times, and document requirements. It is general information, not immigration advice for your situation. Only a registered migration agent (MARA) or Australian legal practitioner can advise whether you meet a specific authority’s criteria or whether your nominated occupation routes to a different pathway from what is shown here. Find a registered agent at mara.gov.au.
Fees and processing times shown above are checked daily against each authority’s official site (and, for trade fees, against the LIN 23/002 legislative instrument on legislation.gov.au). Cross-check the official source linked on each authority page before relying on a figure for a decision, and confirm your designated assessing authority on the Home Affairs assessing-authorities page before applying.
